The skate blade system consists of three parts, the holder, the stabilizers and the runner. All system components are made of a highly concentrated, especially reinforced glass fiber or carbon fiber plastic material providing good low temperature impact strength. Based on the excellent system stability, the t'blade runner can take user weight loads of a maximum of 120 kg (264 lbs.) and can be used for hockey games up to an outside temperature of approximately.-25 degrees without any problems.

The complete system contains a pair of :

 The skate blade system:
The development of the t’ blade blade system took place as a result to create a blade system which is capable of eliminating a deficiency existing since than more 100 years in the sector of ice skate blades.

With the market launch of the t’blade interchangeable runner technology, the market has for the first time in the history of ice skates a runner system which does not require a time-consuming and cost-intensive inaccurate sharpening process of the runner edges. The restoration of optimum gliding characteristics is achieved exclusively by the quick replacement of the t’blade interchangeable runners.
The runner system has not only a wide range of outstanding features, but occupies a top position in the areas concerning gliding characteristics, maneuverability, high cornering speed, and braking deceleration. Furthermore, new standards have been set concerning the use of ice skate blades in areas like product stability, service life, system handling, product service and manufacturing quality.

The interchangeable runners manufactured with the greatest precision have an absolutely constant rocker shape (contact area) and are only distinguished by the gliding surface length, the radius of hollow and the system size. A wide variety of versions allow the system user an accurate matching of the runner to suit the current state of the ice surface taking into account simultaneously its expectations concerning gliding characteristics during skating. The system matching is effected taking into account of the user weight and the ice surface temperature by modifying the gliding surface length and the radius of hollow.

The holder:        

  • available in 6 different colors

The holder consists of high-strength impact-resistant fibrous plastic (glass or carbon fiber) which withstands temperatures of up to -25℃.                                                                                     
Its ingenious bridge-like structure over the entire length from the front to the rear portion of the holder combined with the integrated cross ribs provide a high degree of rigidity with excellent torsional, longitudinal and transversal stability characteristics.

The design related rigidity of the holder stabilizes the sole of the shoe in a sustainable manner and minimizes the axial bending forces in the central area of the ice skate shoe.

A trapezoid shaped connecting element between the runner and the holder ensures a precise and tight seating of the runner into the holder enabling the transfer of acceleration and transverse cornering forces.

To ensure a proper installation of the stabilizers, the inner side of the holder is provided with little cavities which are intended to install the locking washers of the screws to hold the stabilizers in place.

If required, the holes around the perimeter of the sole can be used for securing the holder onto the sole of the ice skate. The fastening can then be realized by means of rivets or RMS screws.
A recess located at the rear of the holder is provided for inserting the t’blade logo clip.
Proper function and maximum rigidity of the holder are only ensured if all components are assembled.

The stabilizers:

The stabilizers are made of glass fiber plastic and have identical material properties as the holder. In addition, they are provided with a set of special light alloy screws and sockets to ensure play-free securing of the runner without damaging the plastic.

There are two stabilizers on each t-blade system, one holding the nuts which are press-fitted to prevent them from falling out. The other one with the same number of special screws and locking washers to prevent them from being lost coincides perfectly with the nuts of the female stabilizer. The tightening torque of 1,2 Nm ensures a high level of stability and safety.

Detailed description of the available runner versions refer to product variants. The runner is an innovative very complex and technologically sophisticated composite product which constitutes almost the entire key technology of the t’blade runner system.
The fabrication of the high-precision 1 mm thick metal band requires the use of the ultra-modern laser technology by means of complex production lines meeting the closest tolerances.
The fracture resistant profiled running strip is made of a stainless steel or metal alloy which is injected into a low temperature resistant glass fiber or carbon fiber plastic .
The highly compressed profiled running strip is manufactured by rolling and has an enormous edge hardness of approx. 55 HRC = 570 HV after an expensive and time-consuming fabrication process.
The available maximum hardness achieves a useful life 4 times longer than traditional steel blades.
Due to the very small metal mass (approx. 5.5g) of the running strip and a minimum plastic mass (approx. 45g), the t-blade composite runner is the lightest ice skate blade on the market worldwide.

Due to the very small size of the profiled running strip, the runner has exceptional thermal properties which in conjunction with the highly polished running surface of the runner lead to an above-average improvement of the gliding characteristics up to 40 %.
Due to its absolutely constant rocker shape, the runner available in many types allows a quick and perfect restoration of the usual optimum gliding characteristics.
As soon as the running edges are worn or damaged, a rapid and simple replacement of the runner is required. Thus a time-consuming and cost-intensive inaccurate sharpening process of the runner edges is avoided.
The rocker shape available in many versions is determined by three crucial factors: Gliding surface length, radius of hollow and system size (refer to product variants and rocker shape matching)

The logo clip identifies the t’blade trademark (thermal blade) and refers to the outstanding thermal characteristics of the t'blade runner system.

The central emblem shows the initial letter "t" which indicates the registered " t’blade brand name "as well as the blazing flame symbolizing the above-average temperature on the gliding surface.

The impressively simple logo is made of not-reinforced plastic and fits exactly into the cavity intended for this purpose in the rear part of the holder. The logo clip can be replaced without any problem by inserting a screwdriver tip into the unlocking opening where the flame is located so that it can be dislodged easily.

The logo-clip can be customized to suit the personal taste of the system user by means of a variety of colors.
